Per ICC regulations, the due dates for bills issued by
North Shore Gas (and other Illinois regulated
utilities) are:
- 21 days after the billing date for residential accounts
- 14 days after the billing date for non-residential accounts
- 31 days for special accounts (customers with exceptional circumstances such as
welfare or Social Security recipients)
- 45 or 60 days for certain governmental accounts
If payment is not received by the due date, customers are normally charged a Late
Payment Charge (LPC) of 1.5% of the unpaid bill before taxes (not inclusive of
Supplier Charges).
