Carbon monoxide alarms never sleep, which is why you can
Illinois law requires carbon monoxide (CO) alarms within 15 feet of any sleeping area. Stay safe by installing and maintaining CO alarms on each level of your home and:
Never operate internal combustion engines indoors.
Never use charcoal grills indoors.
Have all fuel-burning appliances, flues, vents and chimneys checked regularly.
Never tamper with natural gas service pipes and meters.
