Share the Warmth

Administered for North Shore Gas by the Community Action Partnership of Lake County, Share the Warmth provides heating grants to limited and fixed-income households. Eligible customers can receive grants of up to $200 on their bills.

How can I apply for a Share the Warmth grant?

Call the Community Action Partnership of Lake County at 847-249-4330 to make an appointment to apply. Applicants are required to submit:

  • Proof of household income or any financial assistance for the past 30 days for all members of the household aged 18 or older.
  • Your current residential heating bill.
  • Proof of indentification.

Who is eligible?

North Shore Gas customers who are having trouble paying their bills and meet the following household income guidelines may be eligible for a grant.

Share the Warmth is a North Shore Gas program funded by the company and donations from customers. Customers eligible for Share the Warmth may also qualify for the Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program and Low Income Discount program.
